But the life of a father and his young son threatens to disintegrate when the father's device begins to fail. Desperate to avoid facing his own traumatic reality, the man must venture outside to find a replacement, into a city where violence and danger lurk beneath a skim of beautiful illusion.。本系列纪录片讲述了三组来自世界各地令人大开眼界的“特殊人物”。一对来自巴基斯坦的“太阳能男孩”——白天生龙活虎，太阳一落山就完全陷入瘫痪，全身动弹不得。一名被“偷走青春”的英国少女——明明只有20岁却长了一副60多岁的容颜。还有来自印尼的世界上最重的男孩——190多公斤的体重，几乎让他寸步难行。这些人都因为各种全球罕见的病症，被生活逼上了绝路。本片将通过对他们的跟踪采访，揭示这些特殊人物的日常生活，以及他们对抗自身命运的不懈斗争。。
