某大学医院里，以某个患者的可疑死亡为契机，无法再上升的病理学医生·藤卷达臣发现了未知的杀人球菌“Gift”。如果这种球菌侵入体内，患者很快就会死亡。后来，球菌完全消失，死因只能诊断为急性心力衰竭，这是一种让完全犯罪成为可能的可怕球菌。意外登上权力阶梯的藤卷，能否在围绕杀人球菌的壮烈求生中生存下来？生存与死亡，正义与邪恶，纠葛到最后，他看到的景象是？而将球菌带入医院，导致连环杀人案的真凶究竟是谁呢？。A young woman (Rosemary Wilcox) is haunted by pop-Freudian dreams of her recently murdered psychologist (and lover), so for some reason she goes to a resort where the psychologist liked to hang out and becomes involved with a gangster (Adolf Celli) and the strange female resort owner (Alida Valli). Soon more murders occur involving the other guests at the resort.。
