在帕特里亚大陆诞生的民主主义国家“帕特里亚”。 在由于经济不平衡而导致分裂成“北部帕特里亚同盟”与“南部帕特里亚联合”的这个国家，持续着长年的内战。陷入了劣势的北部，为了战胜南部，终于用上了禁忌的技术。将人类改造成异形士兵的这个技术，以人类的模样为代价，获得与神媲美的力量。这个力量结束了长期的战乱，从此进入了和平年代。 “拟神兵”，这就是被誉为“神”的救国英雄。 时光流逝，战争已成为历史的现在，那些变成了“拟神兵”的人，因为那股庞大的力量，被人们称为“野兽”，为人们所惧怕蔑视着。 原拟神兵部队队长·汉克，化身为杀死堕落成“野兽”的“拟神兵”战友们的“猎兽者”在不断旅行着。寻找杀害了身为拟神兵父亲的仇人的少女夏尔与汉克相遇，为了找到父亲死亡的真相，决定与他一起旅行。而后得知，战争不得不持续的真正理由以及汉克正在寻找的“释放野兽的男子”这一存在。 将杀害伙伴的罪名背负于自身的“汉克”，他在不断持续的旅行中所抵达的终点到底是？。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
