岳父病危，全市只有老婆宋绮梦才能进行手术，但她却正陪着初恋的狗在看病，还指责陆峰白用岳父病危的借口争风吃醋称明天爸爸生日她就回家。第二天宋绮梦在商场买了各种礼物，而家里正准备给父亲火化下葬，当宋绮梦到家门口，看见摆放的菊花，意识到了不对……。1782年，朝鲜正祖为了反对老论的势力，查办各地贪污，期间任命崔侧根（金明民饰）为探正，他即是朝鲜史上出色的一位侦探。一位户房因为揭发贪污行为被杀，崔侧根巧妙的揪出了患有色盲症的真凶，然而凶手马上又被不明杀手用清国进口的铁针杀死，案件陷入了僵局。 崔侧根收用狗盗高手韩西弼（吴达洙饰）为助手后，接下了调查烈女案的任务。老论首领任判书的侄女金贤英为贞洁自杀，她生前开辟高山乌头农场，宣扬平等理念，深得奴隶爱戴，金贤英死后，农场被交给美艳的韩商行（韩智敏饰）打理，而韩商行也与清国铁针有着千丝万缕的联系。仇恨天主教势力的任判书和韩商行之间亦颇有渊源，贪污案和烈女案的线索交织，同时指向了韩商行……。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
