《苦藤》是一出冤冤相报的宿命苦情戏，是一曲“堕民”临近终结时代的人生悲歌。故事发生在民国时期一个名叫白果村的大院里，刘府老爷看中戏班里美丽的潮来，而潮来和师兄继信青梅竹马，两小无猜。就在刘府新婚之夜，一切都变了……如今在刘府的二奶奶一次偶然的机遇认识了富家子弟廖青云，但廖青云对潮来一见钟情，潮来在爱情的选择上一波三折，演绎了一场曲折离奇、惊心动魄、柔肠寸断的爱情、人生悲剧，其间“堕民”的身份如罪恶的幽灵一般摧残了人生、改变着命运……。Terminally ill Janette wants to die with dignity, but it’s not possible in the UK, where she lives.
